Given:

The average score of a batsman after his 50th innings was 46.4

Formula used:

Average = Sum of all number/Total number of values

Calculation:

Let the runs after 50th innings be x

And the runs after 60th innings be y

⇒ x/50 = 46.4 

⇒ x = 2320      ----(1)

And Y the runs after 60th innings,

⇒ y/60 = (46.4 + 2.6)

⇒ y = 2940      ----(2)

Subtract form equation(2) to equation(1);

⇒ x – y = 2940 – 2320

⇒ x – y = 620

620 is the runs  scored by batsman in last 10 innings,

Average score = 620/10

⇒ 62

∴ The average score in the last ten innings is 62.
