Correct Answer - Option 1 : 21 cm

Similar Triangles: Two triangles are said to be similar if their corresponding sides are in equal ratio, or it can also be said that their corresponding angles are equal.

Concept: If ΔXYZ and ΔDEF are similar, then

\(XY\over DE\) = \(YZ\over EF\) = \(XZ\over DF\)

Calculation:

Given: ΔXYZ ~ ΔDEF

XY = 10 cm

YZ = 14 cm

DE = 15 cm

Using the above concept, we get

\(10\over 15\) = \(14\over EF\)

10EF = 15 × 14

EF = \(15 \times 14 \over 10\) = 21 cm

Hence, we conclude that EF = 21 cm.
