A ball of 100 g mass is thrown with initial velocity of 0.01 km/s. What is its momentum at that time?

Momentum = mass × velocity 

Here, mass of the ball = 100 gr = 100 × (1/100) kg 

⇒ m = 0.1 kg 

Velocity of the ball = 0.01 km/s = 0.01 × 1000 m/s

 ⇒ v = 10 m/s 

Momentum of the ball = m × v = 0.1 × 10 kg.m/s = 1 kg.m/s
