Find the area of the triangle formed by the points by using Heron’s formula. 

(2, 3), (-1,3) and (2, -1)

Let the vertices of given triangle A (2, 3), B (-l, 3) and C (2, -1)

∴ a = 5, b = 4, c = 3 units 

Now from using Heron’s formula area of triangle

= 6 sq. units 

∴ area of given triangle = 6 sq units
