In the above problem, calculate the load current. If a series resistance of 200 Ω is used, what is the Zener current ?

V_Z = 10 V,

P_ZM = 500 mW,

R_L= 1000 Ω,

R_s = 200 Ω

The current through R_s is

The load current,

∴ The zener current,

I_Z = I_s – I_L = 25 – 10 = 15 mA
