Two diode analogues of (a) an npn transistor (b) a pnp transistor

[Important note : The diode equivalents are pretty much useless except for biasing a transistor or testing with a ‘digital multimeter (DMM). The transistor action of a BJT, as explained in Question 55 is substantially different from that of two independent backto-back pn-junctions.]
