Best answer

Decrease in percent of Rs.2000 less than Rs.2400

\(\frac{(2400\,-\,2000)}{2400} \,\times\,100\) = \(\frac{400}{2400} \,\times\,100\)

\(\frac{400} {24} = \frac{50}3\)  = 16\(\frac23\)%

Increase in percent of Rs.2400 more than Rs.2000

\(\frac{(2400\,-\,2000)}{2000} \,\times\,100\)  = \(\frac{400}{2000} \,\times\,100\)

\(\frac{400} {20} \)  = 20%
