1. i) Picture-1 is the scenery of a village life. 

Picture-2 is the scene of a city life. 

ii) In the village we can see thatched houses. But in the city we can see tall, multistoreyed buildings. 

iii) In the village we can see farmers, bullocks, cows and bullock carts.

But in cities we can see a lot of buses, cars and two-wheelers. 

iv) The village is surrounded by beautiful fields and hills. But the cities are surrounded by industries and workshops besides slums. 

v) Villages are calm and peaceful but the cities are noisy because of heavy traffic and . industries.
