Aim:
To observe the conduction of water by a stem.
What you need:
A small twig of balsam plant, a glass of water, red ink. What to do:
- Take a glass of water and add a few drops of ink to it.
- Now place the small twig in the water.
What do you see:
The stem turns reddish. What do you learn: The red ink is taken and transported by the stem upwards.
