Show that cos–1 x is neither odd nor even.

Let f(x) = cos–1x. 

Then f(–x) = cos–1 (–x) = π – cos–1 x which is neither equal to f(x) nor equal to f(–x). 

Hence cos–1 x is neither odd nor even
