V=IR

⇒I=V/R

⇒I=12/5=2.4

Therefore the correct answer is 2.4A

V = 12 v

R =  5 Ω

V = iR

\(i = \frac VR\) 

\(i = \frac {12}5\) 

i = 2.4 A
