In  the following questions, two statements are given, one is Assertion (A) and the other is Reason (R). Examine the statements carefully and mark the correct answer according to the instructions given below :

(a)  If both A and R are correct and R is the correct explanation of A.

(b)  If both A and R are correct and R is not the correct explanation of A.

(c)  If A is correct R is wrong.

(d)  If both A and R are false.

A :  Pure water, irrespective of its source always contain hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio 1 : 8 by mass.

R :  Total mass of reactants and products remains constant during physical or chemical change.
