Correct option is (c) \(MCl_3\)

 \(\because\) 100 mL vapour contain = 0.72g metal chloride

\(\therefore \) 22400 mL vapour contain \(=\frac{0.72}{100}\times22400g \) metal chloride

= 161.28g.

it means molecular weight of metal chloride = 161.28g.

\(\frac{n\times35.5}{161.28}\times100=65.5\)

\(n=\frac{65.5\times161.28}{3550}\)

\(n= 2.976\)

\(n\approx3.\)

\(\therefore\) Molecular formula of metal chloride will be \(MCl_3.\)
