A cylindrical bar magnet is rotated about its axis as shown in the diagram. One end of a wire is connected to apoint on the axis and its other end is made to touch the cylindrical surface through an ammeter. We would then observe

(1) That a direct current flowing in the ammeter A

(2) That no current flows through the ammeter A

(3) That an alternating simusoidal current flows through the ammeter A

(4) A time varying, non-simusoidal, current flows through the ammeter A

As there is no change in the magnetic flux linked with the circuit, no emf gets induced in the circuit. The ammeter ‘A’ would, therefore, not show any deflection.
