Correct option is (a) -0.6 Δo

d4 octahedral complex has the configuration t2g3 eg1

CFSE = (-0.4x + 0.6y) Δo

x = no. of electron in t2g

y = no. of electron in eg

CFSE = [-0.4 x 3+ 0.6 x 1] Δo

= [-1.2 + 0.6] Δo

= – 0.6 Δo
