If h = 100, l = 200, cf = 32, n/2 = 60+f, Median = 240. Find the value of f.

Median \(=l+\frac{\frac{n}{2}-cf}{f}\times h\)

\(240=200+\frac{60+f-32}{f}\times100\)

⇒ \(\frac{28+f}{f}=\frac{240-200}{100}=\frac{40}{100}=\frac{4}{10}=\frac{2}{5}\)

⇒ 140 + 5f = 2f

⇒ 3f = -140

∴ f = -140/3
