(i) The two positions are:

When an object is placed between the pole(p) and focus (f’) of a concave mirror, the image formed is larger than the object(or magnified). When an object is placed between the focus (f) and centre of curvature (c) of a concave mirror, the image formed is larger than the object.

Difference between the two images:

1. In case (i), the image is formed behind the mirror In case (ii), the image is formed beyond the centre of curvature.
2. In case (i), the image formed is virtual and erect In case (ii), the image formed is real and inverted.

(ii) Here, P = + 15 D

f =?

From f = 1/P, f = 100/1.5 = 66.7cm

As power is positive, the prescribed lens is converging or convex lens.
