Water is just as important as the air we breathe as it is crucial for our survival. Almost all life forms that are present on earth need to survive using water such as human beings, plants, insects, and animals require water for consumption. Portable and freshwater are absolutely necessary for our use and survival. Apart from drinking water can be used for many purposes and these include cooking, cleaning, and washing. Water is also used a lot in agriculture.
Over the years many of the water resources have been destroyed and this is because of the increasing population and global warming. Everyone should be aware of the importance of water and why we must learn to conserve it. Over the past couple of decades, water pollution has become extremely bad and this is because of the increasing population and the advancements in technology. So thus it has become important to save our water as it is a nonrenewable resource and it is hard to come by.
Over the years water resources have been used up so much it has become very hard for us to come by and this is because of the constant rate at which it is being destroyed. There are many factors that affect our consumption of water and the main factor is the need for our survival. They say that humans can go a maximum of only 5 days without water and after this, they will die.
Everyone should actively participate in using water efficiently and not misusing it so that we can avoid a shortage. Many developed cities around the world are facing a shortage of water all over and this is because of the constant misuse over the years. in most big cities, they have used up so much of the groundwater that if we dig deeper it could create huge problems in our ground system and that could cause many earthquakes as there will be so much imbalance. Now on the other side, many countries have an abundance of water supply that can serve their people and they must start using the water carefully to not create shortages in the future. The scarcity of water is mainly because of the soil contamination of groundwater and the acid rainfall because of the air pollution that is present. Ever since Industrialization and urbanization there have been problems related to the scarcity of water, the other land development has also contaminated the groundwater over the past couple of decades.
