The instantaneous value of current in an A.C. circuit is I = 2 sin[100πt + (π/3)]A. The current will be maximum for the first time at,

(a) t = (1/100) sec

(b) t = (1/200) sec

(c) t = (1/400) sec

Best answer

The correct option (d) t = (1/600) sec

Explanation:

I = 2 sin[100πt + (π/3)]

Given current will be maximum. Here Imax is given to be 2A

∴ I = Imax = 2A

∴ 2 = 2 sin[100πt + (π/3)]

 1 = sin[100πt + (π/3)]

 100 πt (π/3) = (π/2)

100 πt = (π/6)

∴ t = (1/600) sec
