DNA is the genetic material of bacteria, which is scattered in cytoplasm. Histone proteins are absent in bacterial DNA. Bacterial cell is prokaryotic and has incipient nucleus, due to lack of nuclear membrane. In eukaryotic cells, genetic material (DNA) is found in nucleus.
