What is Greenpeace? What is its mission statement? When and where was it founded? Give four main objective of organization.

Greenpeace is a non-governmental organization with their office in more than 55 countries across Europe, America, Asia, Africa and the Pacific. They have an international coordinating body in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Greenpeace was founded by Irving Stowe and Dorothy Stowe, Canadian and US ex-pat environmental activist in 1971. In India, Greenpeace was founded in 2001 and working as legally registered society. 

They have office in Delhi, Patna, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Mission statement of Greenpeace :

From starting, the mission of Greenpeace is to expense the activity of those who destroy nature, Greenpeace has a fight against environmental killer. They challenge Government, Industry and Corporation when they do not follow the rules related to our safeguard and for our future. Mission of Greenpeace includes to ensure that natural life on our planet is safe with all of its diversity for present and in future also, to prevent pollution and try to eliminate all nuclear intimidation

Objective of organization:

1. Halt climate change

2. Protect oceans

3. Save ancient forests

4. Reduce toxic materials in products
