The correct option is (B) 2500.

Explanation:

Wavelength = λ = 4000 Å = 4000 × 10–10m

Given length = ℓ = 1mm = 10–3m

∴ No of wave in length ℓ = (ℓ/λ) = [10–3 / (4000 × 10–10)] = (104 / 4) = 2500
