Best answer

(b) red

The colour of the precipitate formed when a reducing sugar is heated with Fehling solution is red. In this reaction, cupric oxide is reduced to cuprous oxide which gives red colour.

\(RCHO+2Cu^{2+}+5OH^- \xrightarrow{heat}RCOO^-+Cu_2O ↓+3H_2O\)
