Molecular weight of the oxide of nitrogen (30) indicates that the formula of oxide is NO (14 + 16 = 30) 

Total number of electrons in NO = No. of electrons in (At. No. of) N + No. of electrons in (At. No. of) O

= 7 + 8

= 15
