These are used:

(iv) in the production of long chain alcohols to be used for preparing synthetic detergents,
(v) in the preparation of vegetable ghee,
(vi) as medicines (e.g., castor oil, cod liver oils, etc.)
(vii) as lubricants, and
(viii) in the preparation of toilet soaps and other cosmetics.
