Aniline is used :
(i) in the manufacture of dyes and dye-intermediates,
(ii) in the manufacture of accelerators and antioxidants in rubber industry,
(iii) in the manufacture of acetanilide (used as antipyretic under the name of antifebrin), sulphanilic acid, and indigo, and
(iv) in the manufacture of sulpha drugs.
