N0 of electrons in bonding orbitals = 12 + 2 = 14

Bond order = \(\frac{8 - 6}{2}\) = +1

Bond order of +1 indicates that O22- is less stable than other species of O2 discussed above. It is diamagnetic as it has no unpaired electron.
