Best answer

(b) It reacts with Tollen's reagent to form silver mirror

Acetophenone reacts with 2-4-DiNitroPhenylHydrazine test to form 2-4-DiNitroPhenylHydrazone.

On drastic oxidation with KMnO4, H+ acetophenone forms benzoic acid.

As acetophenone does not contain any hydrogen atom directly attached to the carbonyl carbon like aldehydes it does not give Tollen's or Fehling test.

Acetophenone reacts with NaOH, Cl2 to form Chloroform which is colourless.
