Acidity or Hydroxicity of a base
It may be defined as the number of OH- ions furnished by a molecule of a base. Like an acid, a base can be a monoacid or monohydroxic (e.g., NaOH), diacid or dihydroxic [e.g., Ba(OH)2] and triacid or trihydroxic [e.g., Fe(OH)3] when it gives 1, 2 and 3 OH- ions respectively.
Eq. wt. of a base = \(\frac{\text{Mol. wt.}}{\text{Acidity}}\)
