Substitution is used in the game to replace the players in case of injuries. This substitution process also allows the players to be substituted when a player becomes tired or if a player is making too many fouls. The coach will maintain a substitution strategy which contains the order of players in which they are rotated into and out of the ground. The basketball game allow for unlimited number substitution during the entire game. At times substitution is also done to reduce or avoid penalites.
