Identify the correct sequence of steps to split a movie. 

1) Under the preview monitor, click the Split button. 

2) When the clip reaches a point near the place you want to split the clip, click Pause.

3) Under the preview monitor, click the Play button. 

4) In the Contents pane or on the storyboard/timeline, click the video or audio clip that need to be split. 

5) Under the preview monitor, use the playback controls to find the point where we want to split the clip. 

a) 3) ->2) -> 1) –> 5) -> 4) 

b) 5) ->3) -> 2) –> 4) -> 1) 

c) 4) ->3) -> 2) –> 5) -> 1) 

d) 2) -> 3) -> 1)- > 5) -> 4)

The correct sequence of steps to split a movie is c) 4) -> 3) -> 2) -> 1). This is because:

  • The first step is to select the video or audio clip that need to be split in the Contents pane or on the storyboard/timeline. (4)
  • The second step is to play the clip under the preview monitor. (3) 
  • The third step is to keep playing it until it reaches a point near the place where we want to split the clip, and then click Pause. (2)
  • The fourth step is to use the playback controls under the preview monitor to find the exact point where we want to split the clip. (5)
  • The fifth step is to click the Split button under the preview monitor to split the clip into two parts. (1)
So the correct sequence to split a movie is c) 4) -> 3) -> 2) -> 1).
