(ii) Diligent studying is a must; otherwise, you will miss your grade.

(iii) The thief ran away, eluding the police's attempts to catch him.

(iv) My help to him was unconditional; I didn't expect anything in return.

(D) (i) To Suresh occurred a splendid idea suddenly. 

(ii) Raunak failed to catch the bus due to being late. 

(iii) It has been one week since Sheena returned. 

(iv) Lakshmi apologized to Madhu for insulting her.
