Operon Model : operon are regions of DNA that are made of a group of related genes. It is cluster of geneses that are transcribed together to give a single mesenger RNA (MRA) molecule, which there fore encodes multiple proteins. They consist of a promoter region, an operator and multiple related genes.
Lac Operon:
(i) An operon is a functioning unit of generic DNA that contains a group of genes controlled by a sing promoter.
(ii) These genes share information needed to create the tools for particular table.
eq. Lac - operon
(iii) Lac-operon is found in E.coli and other enteric bacteria.
(iv) Lac Operon contains set of genes responsible for coding proteins in charge of transporting lactose into the cytosol and digesting it into glucose.
(v) This glucose is then used for energy production.
