In a transformer, ratio of turns in primary to secondary coil is 10 : 1. If primary side voltage is 230 volt and frequency is 50 Hz and resistance of secondary side is 46Ω, then find power output. 

(1) 11.5 W (2) 12 W (3) 12.5 W (4) 23 W

Correct option: (1) 11.5 W

\(\frac{N_1}{N_2}=\frac{V_1}{V_2}\)

\(\frac{10}{1}=\frac{230}{V_2}\)

V2 = 23 V

P2\(\frac{V_2^2}{R_2}=\frac{23\times 23}{46}=\frac{23}{2}=11.5W\)
