In the reaction of combustion of CH4, it gives 22g of CO2. Find the moles of CH4 in terms of x × 10-2 mol.

 \(CH_4 + 2O_2 \longrightarrow \underset{22g}{CO_2} + 2H_2O\)

\(mol = \frac{22}{44} = \frac 12 \)

\(\frac{n_{CH_4}}{1} = \frac{n_{CO_2}}1\) no of moles of CH4\(\frac 12\)

\(n_{CH_4} = \frac12\)

\(=\frac 12 \times 100 \times 10^{-2}\)

\(=50 \times 10^{-2}\)
