Earlier the wavelength of light was expressed in angstroms. one angstrom equals 10^-8cm. Now the wavelength is expressed in manometers. How many angstroms make one nanometre

1 angstrom = 10–8 cm = 10–10

1 nanometer (nm) = 10–9

∴ 1 nm/1 angstrom = 10–9 m /10–10

= 10 so 1 nm = 10 Å

Therefore, 10 Angstroms make 1 nanometre.
