(i) Woollen industry is concentrated in North India since winters are very severe here and there is a great demand for woollen products. Secondly, climatic conditions favour sheep rearing, hence, there is no dearth of raw materials. 

(ii) Tree plantation is essential in industrial regions for purification of the atmosphere. Industrial smoke causes atmospheric pollution and the trees absorb excess CO2 and replenish the O2 level of the air.
