15. Reenu types 540 words during half an hour. How many words would she type in 8 minutes?

5. Let distance covered = x then 

Distance Covered : Time :: Distance Time 

(in min) covered (in min) 

16 km : 25 min :: x 5hr = 300 min. 

(more time - more distance) 

∴ x = 16 × 300/25 = 192 km

15. Words typed in 1/2 hour = 540 

Words typed in 30 min = 540 

Words typed in 1 min = 540/30 = 18 

Words typed in 8 min = 18 × 8 = 144
