CloudWatch custom metrics allow you to publish your own metrics to CloudWatch, beyond the default metrics provided by AWS services. This can be useful for monitoring application-specific parameters.
Example: Publishing a custom metric using AWS CLI:

This command sends a single data point for the custom metric MyCustomMetric in the namespace MyNamespace with a value of 100.
