फ्रेंकल त्रुटि में धनायन (Ag+) अपने निर्धारित स्थान को छोड़कर अंतराकाश में समा जाता है, क्रिस्टल से बाहर नहीं निकलता। इसलिए ACl के घनत्व में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता।
