Best answer

Velocity head = 1.25 m; g = 10 m/s2; v = ?

∵ Velocity head = \(\frac{v^2}{2g}\)

\(\therefore\ 1.25 = \frac{v^2}{2\times10}\)

v2 = 1.25 x 2 x 10 = 25

∴ v = 5 m/s

To find the velocity of the flow of water, we can use the equation from gravitation laws:

Velocity Head (h) = v^2 / (2g)

where:

h = 1.25 m (given)

g = 10 m/s^2 (given)

v = velocity of the flow (to find)

Rearrange the equation for solve v

v^2 = 2gh

v^2 = 2 × 10 × 1.25

v^2 = 25

v = √25

v = 5 m/s

So, the velocity of the flow of water is 5 m/s
