Correct option is (d) Cu containing 1% impurity

Blister copper

  • The copper that is 97 to 98 percent pure, produced by smelting is called Blister Copper.
  • It has a blistery surface caused by sulfur dioxide bubbles.
  • The blistered copper is a metallic copper which has a black blistered appearance on its surface.
  • The copper obtained in the product after the bessemerisation process on copper gets solidified and contains several impurities in it such as Fe, Ni, Zn, etc.
