Solution: Weight of solute 'WR' = 10 g

Density of solvent 'd' = 1.1 g/mL

Mass of solution = Volume x Density

= 500 × 1.1

= 550 g

Mass percentage

\(\frac{\text{Mass} \ \text{of} \ \text{solute}}{\text{Mass}\ \text{of} \ \text{solution} }\times 100\)

\(\frac{10}{550}\times 100\)
