The compound X is diborane which reacts NMe3 to form an adduct B2H6.NMe(B). ↑ hydrolysis of compound X gives boric acid (C) a hydrogen gas. The reactions are

B2H6 + NMе→ B2H6NMe3

B2H6NMe3 + 6H2O → 2H3BO3 + 6H+ NMe
