Given,

Side of tile = 50 cm

First we change it to Metre

We know,

1 m = 100 cm

100 cm = 1 m

1 cm = 1 / 100 m

50 cm = 50 / 100 m

50 cm = 1 / 2 m

50 cm = 0.5 m

Area of tile = (side)2

= 0.5 x 0.5

Area of  tile  = 0.25 m

It is given that tile can carry a pressure of 200 N/m2. If the force applied by this pressure is F,

F = Pressure x Area to tile

F = 200 x 0.25

F = 2 x  25

F =  50 N

Hence, It  can withstand any force less than 50 N.
