(i) Andaman and Nicobar islands are located in Bay of Bengal between 6°- 14° N and 92° – 94° E longitudes. (ii) The Andaman and Nicobar islands are cluster of islands quite bigger than Lakshadweeps. Andaman has around 200 Islands and Nicobar has around 200 islands..	(i) Lakshadweep is located in Arabian sea and extends from 8° N to 12° 30′ N latitudes and 70°E to 71°E longitude. (ii) It is an archipelago comprising twelve atolls, three reefs and five submerged banks with an area of 1-2 sq. km only.
