IIT Kanpur, the organising institute for JEE ADVANCE 2025, shared a list of eligibility criteria for applicants appearing in the Engineering Entrance Examination.
Top 2,50,000 applicants from all categories who successfully qualifies BE/B.TECH Paper 1 of JEE MAIN 2025 will be eligible to appear in JEE ADVANCE.
Applicants to be shortlisted from various categories are as follows:
10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all.
5% horizontal reservation is available from each of the five categories for PwD applicants.
Applicants should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD applicants, these applicants should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.
A candidate has a maximum of 3 attempts in 3 consecutive years.
Applicants must have appeared for the class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in either 2023 or 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their compulsory subjects.
Applicants who had appeared in class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in 2022 or earlier, are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2025.
