Best answer

Correct option is: (2) 500

Let maximum mark be \(x\).

According to the question,

33% of \(x\) = 125 + 40

\(\frac{33}{100} \times x = 165\)

\(x = \frac{165 \times 100}{33}\)

\(x=500\)

\(\therefore \) The maximum marks is 500
