Best answer

Correct option is: (3) 12.5%

Given:-

Ratio of the salaries of A and B \(= 3 : 2 \frac{2}{3}\)

Convert \(2 \frac{2}{3}\) into an improper fraction \(\frac{8}{3}\)

So, the ratio of A's salary to B's salary is \(3 : \frac{8}{3}= 9:8\)

Percentage Increase \(= \frac{\text{Difference}}{\text{Original Salary}} \times 100\%\)

\(= \frac{1}{8} \times 100 \%\)

\(= \frac{100}{8}\%\)

\(= 12.5\%\)
