Best answer

Correct option is (B) CO2

Carbon dioxide (\(CO_2\)) turns lime water milky, due to the formation of \(CaCO_3\) (calcium carbonate).

\(Ca(OH)_2 + CO_2 \rightarrow CaCO_3 + H_2O\)

Correct option is (B) CO2

Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas turns lime water milky.

CO2 + Ca(OH)2 → CaCO3 (Milky calcium carbonate)

When SO2 reacts with slaked lime, it also turns into milky.

SO2 + Ca(OH)2 → CaSO4 (Milky calcium sulphate)
